TexNEP Annual Summer Picnic.

TexNEP's annual summer picnic meeting will take place Saturday, July 19th, in Linn-San Manuel at our president's home. Ruth has said she will provide the location and meat and asks for participants to bring side dishes to accompany the meat. We would like people to bring salads, fruits, vegetables and desserts. If you don't like to cook or prepare food, contact Ruth to see if she needs other items such as paper towels, plates, cups, ice, chips, soft drinks, etc. Seating is somewhat limited so if you have portable chairs, you might want to bring one or more.

 

The event takes place at 4pm and family members and friends are encouraged to come as well. A planning meeting is scheduled for 2pm. Please email Ruth at ruthhoyt@hotmail.com with an RSVP by the end of Wednesday, July 16th. If you prefer to call, leave a message at 956-845-6200.

 

Directions

From the south, take Highway 281 north to the Linn-San Manuel exit (highways 186 and 1017). At the end of the ramp, go straight (north) as if you are getting back on the highway. At the Diamond Shamrock, turn right (east) on Chapa Road and follow it about 4.5 miles until it dead-ends into a "T" intersection. Turn left (north) and go about 1/10 mile to the second gate on the right. The gate should be open that day. If it isn't, get out of the car and manually push it open, drive through, get out of the car and push the gate shut and drive to the second mobile home. Cell phones don't work well in the area but if you need assistance, call the house, 956-845-6200
